3DConnexion Devices

ACAD 2013 Device communication Issue:

Users see issues with the following;

  • Zoom speed varies in perspective view
  • Pivot point position is far from the model causing the model to go off the drawing area when rotated
  • High zoom out speed after zooming in a small area of the drawing

Autodesk 3Dconnexion Hotfix

Download: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=20605633&linkID=9240618

This hotfix corrects the following issues with 3Dconnexion devices:

  • Zoom speed varies in perspective view
  • Pivot point position is far from the model causing the model to go off the drawing area when rotated
  • High zoom out speed after zooming in a small area of the drawing

Consult the readme file for installation instructions and more details on the primary issues resolved by this update. Be sure to install the correct hotfix (32-bit or 64-bit) for your software and operating system.

Note: Before applying this hotfix to your Autodesk product, youmust install service pack 1-below (or SP1.1 for AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT).

Zoom is too fast in constrained orbit mode, and too slow in walk mode (AutoCad Architecture 2009) is there a fix for this, or has this issue been remedied in later versions?

On a separate (somewhat related) topic, I can't edit (very easily, if at all) 3D models while in perspective view- has this issue been remedied in a newer version of Architecture?
