2009 Detail Component Manager.

Strange one this....

In Detail Component Manager (UK) Autocad Architecture 2009, all machines are getting this Error Message... i.e:-

ERROR: Could not run Managed .NET function "AecDtlRcpHJHMJoistHangerSection" in
module "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ACD-A
2009\enu\Details\Details (UK)\AecDetailsUK.dll".

See attached file for example above....

Some tools work, but a lot don't like the example above, they all work in 2008.

Any Ideas?

Ben,
Unfortunately Adesk haven't fixed this little bug in 2010. Please help you are my last hope! :0:) Svit.

All,

Please find attached .dll file (to save me e-mailing it)

Extract the attached file into the following location on your system:

C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Architecture 2009

Ensure AutoCAD Architecture is closed during this procedure.

Ben, thank you very much for for your help. I saved AecDetailsUK.dll under C:\Program Files\ADT 2010 location but still not succeeded with complex sections and got message ERROR: Could not run Managed .NET function "AecDtlBrickTimberSection" in module
"C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACA 2010\enu\Details\Details (UK)\AecDetailsUK.dll".
Then I saved your file under that location - same result. I've already contacted Autodesk support team, lost whole day reisntalling patches and programs according to their instructions because Iv'e been told that this is a problem with .NET Framework . My "best solution" for now - I copy and paste complex sections from ADT 2008! Nice....:0( And it is not our fault! :0)

SVIT647 maybe it's a 2009 to 2010 problem. Like you I'm just an end user so I cannot guarantee a solution. One thing I do know is that once we've found a stable platform to work off we are reluctant to change. For now 2010 stays on the shelf.

Hope you get it sorted

Ben, cannot agree with you more (still in love with 2004) but I will keep searching answer - do not have a freedom to put 2010 on shelf - all my company switched to the latest version (we are subscribers and go through all "fun" every second year at least). I'm the lucky one who use ADT Tool Palettes. I will keep you updated when I find solution. Have a great holidays! Svit.

Ben,

As I promised, solution for 2010 found thanks to you and Michael Bussiere from Autodesk Support Team. I will attach second file in next followed post.
Please Follow these steps with attached 2 files:
1. Close AutoCAD Architecture 2010.
2. Extract the AecDetailsUK.zip file and place the AecDetailsUK.dll file in the "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Architecture 2010" folder.
3. Extract the root.zip file and drag&drop the files to the "C:\WINDOWS\assembly" folder. Note that you cannot use the paste function in the "C:\WINDOWS\assembly" folder, so just open 2 Windows Explorers (one on the "C:\WINDOWS\assembly" folder and one on the folder where you extracted the files) and then drag&drop the files.
4. Start AutoCAD Architecture and try to insert the detail component.

I seem to have this same problem for AutoCad Architecture 2011.

Is there a fix available for the 2011 version?

Cheers Rob

This method worked for me...

Exit Autocad and then Copy

e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\AecDetailsUK.dll

to c:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Architecture 2011\

and Copy

e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.ArchBase.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.Base.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.DACHBase.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.Details.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.Schedule.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.Structural.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.UIArchBase.dll
e:\x86\ACA\Program Files\Root\Autodesk.AEC.Interop.UIBase.dll

to c:\WINDOWS\assembly\

where e:\ is the Autocad Architecture 2011 DVD.

Good luck!

S
