Windows 8.1 Problems

I have imported my AutoCAD 2014 onto my newly purchased computer which uses Windows 8.1.... I can open DWG files and work them, but have to shut down to force their close. What am I doing wrong? Thanks....

"Imported" means what, you did something other than a traditional software install?

Sorry.....probably wrong term. I moved my AutoCAD software off my old PC (back to?), then re-installed it from disc and online reauthorization. Still hoping for suggestions.

Hi,

have you installed the latest service pack for AutoCAD 2014? AFAIK without SP it's not tested for Win 8.

And typically with broken AutoCAD you can first try to reset your AutoCAD profile (to be found in the Windows start menu) or run a repair installation (make sure to have admin permissions and turned off your antivirus software while running the repair).

Good luck, - alfred -
