Why the “dimensions” doesn’t respond as the “annotation scale” changes…

I’m wondering why the “dimensions” doesn’t respond as the “annotation scale” changes when the “Automatically add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes” is OFF?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Are you using an annotative dimstyle?

Again, posting a DWG instead of a screenshot would answer your questins more quickly.

Dean is right, the dimstyle needs to be set to ANNOTATIVE.

That's the first thing...

The second thing is that maybe those dims haven't had any additional Annotative Scales assigned?

The third, and probably the most dangerous thing, is that I can tell by the screen capture you supplied that the ANNOAUTOSCALE button is turned off.  If it was turn ON, then anytime you change the Annotation Scale factor, EVERY annotaive object will have that scale factor assigned.  Again, this is a "DANGEROUS" setting because you may not want every annotative object to be assigned with every scale factor.

Many thanks for the help guys.

This is exactly what I’m saying: as long as the “ANNOAUTOSCALE” is off then the dimension will never respond regardless the change of the “annotation scale” value!

Why the “ANNOAUTOSCALE” necessarily to be turned ON to let the dimension respond once “annotation scale” changes?

The file is attached

Are youo asking why does the feature you want need to be turned on? Kind of like wanting orange juice but not using any oranges :smileyhappy:
