VP content in front of another VP frame?

Is it possible to overlap viewports and make the content of the front viewport overlap the vp frame of the other?

Like below?

Civil 3D 2021 (Update 1), ACAD (SP1.3) MAP (HF0.4)
Infraworks 2021.1,
Win 10 -DELL Precision Notebook 7730

Hi,

good point, I also have not got the frame of the viewport hidden by the "upper" viewport.

The chance I see is that you clip the viewport that should be in the background around the upper viewport.

Look to the attached drawing and find info about command _VPCLIP >>>here<<<.

Yeah clipping is the only way.. It jsut annoying to manage. Everytime you want to move the other viewports you ahve to move the clip as well..

Use MVIEW and a polyline to create the cropped viewport, at least that way you can easily edit the viewport with grips

put your viewport boundary to a (unprint) layer.

if you need to display your boundary.....just draft one by yourself.
