Visual style hidden line scale help

I'm trying to plot 3D objects with hidden lines.  I've set the viewport SHADE PLOT property to "Legacy hidden" and set my visual style to 2D Wireframe with 2D Hide-Occluded Lines linetype set to "Dashed".  The hidden lines do appear, but I don't like the size and spacing of the dashes.  Is there a way to add "Hidden" linetype to the selected visual style?  Or perhaps there's a way of adjusting the linetype scale for visual style occluded lines (similar to LTSCALE or PSLTSCALE command)?

I hope that makes sense.

Hi,

Try to set Visual Style to hidden, shade plot "As displayed", VSOBSCUREDEDGES=1, than play with VSOBSCUREDLTYPE. You can control length of dashes by changing it from 2 (default - shortest) to 9 (Double Long Dash). In between you can set it to 8 (Double Medium Dash), 7 (Double Short Dash), 6 (Long Dash), 5 (Medium Dash).
Seems that is all you can do with Visual Styles.

For this type of application, I'd start looking into the new(ish) model view tools and styles.

This was a good question and viable answer.

But! My question is why isnt this setting (linetype for shadeplot) afforded the same linestyles we are privy to with graphical linetypes, wherein one can even load additional linetypes?
