Visual style changes to wireframe when I save

Hi

Why visual style changes when I hit qsave?

Is there a way to stop that?

Thanks

Hi,

>> Why visual style changes when I hit qsave?

I guess (as no suggestions arrived yet) that nobody can reproduce that.

So please give us some input that brings us to the situation to see what you get.

  • When you click onto QSAVE is a viewport active, a layout active, modelspace active?
Does that reset all vieports back to "Wireframe" even when they are set to any other visual style?
  • Does that happen in a new drawing too?
  • Do you have any applications/apps/tools installed? If so can you try to start with an AutoCAD profile without that addon's and try QSAVE again?

Every single info might bring us closer to the source of the problem!

I encountered the same thing and was able to fix it in my drawing. The culprit is 'Sky Background and Illumination'. Once it is switched on (SKYSTATUS=2), that drawing always reverts back to perspective view and 3d wireframe when you quicksave, even if you changed back to 2D wireframe.

To fix the drawing, set SKYSTATUS to 1 first ('Sky Background') and then to 0 ('Sky Off'). It seems that you can't switch directly from SKYSTATUS = 2 to SKYSTATUS = 0. Then you can change to 2d Wireframe and save.

In order to use sky again you have to first switch back to perspective view.

I am having the same problem. I followed your instructions w/ SKYSTATUS but it won't let me change from 1 to 0 (it stays at 1). Not sure what the problem is.
