View functions in Vanilla AutoCAD…

To all,

Without having to purchase a separate package, is there away to change or enhance the viewing functions in regular AutoCAD?

The issue I’m running into here is that I “Can Not” view any piping systems (HVAC, or Civil) that are going to or coming from a facility.

I’m mainly concerned about HVAC piping (supply and return) going to boilers or other heating systems, and piping leaving the building and going to the city sewer systems (civil engineering piping). I’ve been told that there are some “add-ons” that I can get directly from Autodesk, that will turn my “Boxes or plain text” into viewable objects.

Any ideas help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Milt

What you're looking for is an object enabler. Which one depends on which software was used to model those piping systems.

Thank-you,

I guess I will have to do more research on how to get this to work or use the customer's version of AutoCAD.

I believe the piping and hvac objects should still be displayed as proxy objects.

Make sure you have not disabled PROXYNOTICE and PROXYSHOW
