Vecticality Tank Survey - ask for excel formula and its VBS script.

One of the example shown  object mentioned is about Survey Pressure reading of Tank at each different level.
minus sign means pressure pushing the tank from outside to inside and on the other hand.

i  would like to use script or excel formula to generate them therefore save time  and not neccesary to adopts manual steps (editing and dragging manually might cause human errors). What i looking are focus on arrow direction (red- minus means presure push from outside to inside and on the other hand), pressure values(Cyan) and its pressure line (yellow line connected each end of line of its respective level.) The Tank sample file been attached here.

Hi,

It can be done but this is not a 5 minute job to setup but it would enable you to simply copy and paste a line of data from excel into the block and it would automatically update.

Explaining all the steps in detail is not a 5 minute job either so here is a basic run down on how i would do it. Search the italicized words.

You would need to know basic VBA & Formulas in excel The block editor tools, Dimensional & Geometric Constraints in AutoCAD

Steps:
Make a block of it.
Use Dimensional & Geometric Constraints to set up a base detail eg all at 0 ready for creating a block table to drive them.
You would need flip parameters to flip the arrows based on positive and negative numbers.
You could use a visibility parameter if there is going to be more or less than 7 levels.
Create attributes to display the text value.
Create a Block table and set it up (its like an Excel Table.)
Make an excel table to create all the values required for the parameters you set up in the block table.

Copy and Paste!

Also look at using the block construction line (Different to the normal Construction Line) in the block editor this enables you to create geometry that is only visible in the block editor.

Hope it helps but not a five minute job.
