I have a drawing which I created in AUTOCAD 2015: multiple views, sections and details, all done with drawing views from a model in model space. The following day, going back to make some edits, I find I am unable to edit any of the drawing views.
If I double click on the drawing view, nothing happens. Right click, "edit view," nothing. Toolbar "edit view": more nothing. I can't edit the content, visual style, anything
When I make changes to the model, the system recognizes that changes are made. The bubble pops up and says "A model has changed, one or more views are out of date, click here to update all drawing views," so even when I click that, NOTHING HAPPENS.
No layers are locked, the drawing is being updated with the same PC/software with which they were originally created.
Please help, I'm pulling out all my hair.
Here's a file; contains two layout tabs.
Thanks for taking a look.
I have reviewed the file and get a Proxy Object warning upon opening. In the warning, the following "Missing Applications" are listed:
MApiAdServices
MApiSurfServices
AdGrefServices
AutoSurfRevolverServices
AutoSurfServices
These applications appear to be 3rd party and could be having an adverse effect on the drawing. I believe that this issue is being caused by file corruption. I had used the process on the following link (http://knowledge.autodesk.com/article/AutoCAD-File-Corruption<http://knowledge.autodesk.com/article/AutoCAD-File-Corruption>) and was able to create and update Drawing Views. However, to fully remove the corruption from a drawing, the layout tabs are deleted in the process.
I have attached the cleaned file for you review. Please check "Accept as Solution" if the suggestion resolves your inquiry.
