Trying to model a coil, need help!

I am trying to model a coil for a tattoo machine. I have all of the helixs made to replicate the wire wrapping around the bobbin of the coil but i cannot figure out how to get the helixs to blend together smoothly. I.E. have the end of the inner coil bend outward gradually to meet the starting end of the next level helix. Any help would be appreciated.

I found a solution for anyone else who may need help with something similar. I took the number of wraps around the bobbin i needed (8 wraps) divided 360 by that. This number gave me the amount of rotation i needed to apply to an outer helix as i added them to the stack. (I.E. first helix end point is at 0 degrees, second helix endpoint is at 45 degrees, Third helix endpoint is at 90 degrees and so on.) As i added a new helix to the stack i used blend curves to blend the end points together to form a continuous line that resembles how a wire would be wrapped around the bobbin. Next i joined all the segments together to form one polyline, Then i added a circle at one end and swept it around the helix to form the wire. Hope this helps someone.
