Trouble with Shift key for temporary Ortho mode

Just upgraded to AutoCAD 2014. I also added in Raster Design at the same time. I was on 2013 previously. After the install I found that when I pressed the Shift key to activate the temporary override for Ortho mode, I was not able to use the left click mouse button to select a point. Nothing would happen while the shift key was pressed. This is actually a setting in Raster Design and not AutoCAD. Under IOptions (in Raster Design); under user preferences; uncheck the Shift+Left Click Image Select toggle. I found the answer after much searching, in the AUGI forums. Thanks to member JeffClark!

Did you try to go to option and customized the right click option ??6.JPG

The Ortho Override using the SHIFT key is a built-in function of AutoCAD as far as I understand it. I would check your pickfirst settings and your SHIFT selection settings in the Options window under the Selection tab. Something might not be right there.

What worked for me was to change the value from 0 to 1 on this command : TEMPOVERRIDES
