Trench Cross-Section Question?

I have been assigned the following assignment and I am lost on where to start. Does Bc/2 stand for a dimension?

Yes, half of the pipe diameter or its radius.

It is a screwed up, BC shows inside diameter, then it said Bc/2 is from center of pipe to outside  of pipe.

Ii's meaningless to the real world when you burying a pipe anyway, and nobody building it with laser accuracy.

The slash symbol, in theis case, means divide.  Bc/2 means that you would divide whatever Bc is by two.  The Bedding note indicates that you would divide Bc by eight to determine the prescribed bedding.

So, no, it's not meaningless; it's math.
