Transparent Model

I would like to make parts of my 3d model transparent/translucent  like I would in Navis works. I want to make my chiller see through but everything else opaque.  PIPING_WOR_L1-CH 1.pdf

If the chiller is made up of 3D solids you can make them transparent by selecting them and typing a number (up to 90) in the transparency field of the properties palette. You can also make a layer with a transparency setting and put it on that layer.

+1 with MHensley

Also, don't forget  TRANSPARENCYDIPLAY=1 (or click the "checkerboard" icon on the ACAD bar) to see the transparency on screen and tick PLOT TRANSPARENCY at plottime.

DJ

I really appreciate your replies.

Those are really cool answers

In the model it was transparent as I requested. As DJ deduced I wanted to plot with this transparency.

However the plot did not come out correctly with my pipe.

I had to fiddle with the visual styles flyout (as displayed) and ribbon (realistic)
