Tool Palette Tabs

Does anyone know if there is a way to change a tool palette tab by typing a command? I want to be able to incorporate it into our layer control LISP so when we type a command to go to a certain page, the tool palette tab changes to the correct tab. This would save a click and possibly a scroll...

yes, TPNAVIGATE, we use it for to set the tab upon startup.
