title block

I created a title block in a seperate autocad file, but I can't get it to scale correctly when I add it to my layouts. Help?

It needs to be 1:1.  So if you are wanting a 24"x36" sheet, the title block needs to be a little less than 24" x 36".  It needs to be able to fit in the printable area (the dashed lines).

How do I scale it to be 1:1?

You simply draw it full scale.  In Todd's example he used 24"x36".  This means your title block should measure about 23.5"x35.5" or so in real units.  This assumes that your printer leaves 1/4" at all the edges.

If you look at your current title block and find that it's not sized appropriately for the paper you want to use you can rescale it to get the correct dimensions.

Figuring out how to make useful title blocks can take some time at first, and you'll surely go thru a lot of revisions and upgrades.  But a lot of good things come of it and all your learning time will be more than paid back eventually.
