When a co-worker is trying to hatch using pick point, multiple red circles start appearing and choke up the program. He is not even picking inside the area where these gap indication circles are appearing. I have had him adjust the hatch gap tolerance but am wondering if I can turn off this behavior entirely?
The circles aren't choking CAD, it's the unclosed area. Until that get's fixed hatching won't work.
Post an example if you can, and we'll dig into it a bit further.
Can I turn off the circles showing where the gaps are and just get the old response (boundry not closed)? The problem wasn't even with the area he had picked in. He copied the objects off to the side and they hatched fine when away from the offending area. The offending area was another hatched section and the gaps were showing on each side of every line in the hatch pattern (ansi 131 I think). He had not even selected this area to hatch and the circles just kept displaying up and down each side of the area.
Try expanding the hatch settings dialog box with the More Options button, and then use the Boundary Set choices to define a new, more limited boundary that exclude the problematic objects.
