Text styles and hide plot

Hey All,

Do text styles stay with the drawing? In ohter words will my custom text style be there for my client even if I do not e-transmit?

Secondly, is htere a bold font that will not hollow to an outline when using hide plot?

Thanks,

Eric

If your style uses a TT font it will most likely be there as most TT fonts are in Windows nowdays. If it is an SHX font. No it won't be on his machine.

Text styles are embedded in the drawing.
Fonts are not.

As long as you use a font that comes with AutoCAD (such as simplex.shx), or with Windows (such as Arial, Tahoma, etc.) then there probably will be no issues. (If your client is using AutoCAD for Mac, instead of Windows, then I'm not sure about the windows fonts)

If you use a custom font, then you should use eTransmit to package up the drawing (which is a good idea anyway) or try to remember to include the font each time manually.

2. There a many "filled" SHX based fonts that will do as you wish.
