Tables behaviour in AutoCAD...

Hi,

I've just upgraded from 2010 to 2015 and i have a huge problem with my tables in all my drawings...

With 2010, when we changed the EXCEL spreadsheet, AutoCAD would ask to update the tables, and it did, without changing the format.

Now, with 2015, we have this new window named "Table - Overwritten Data-Linked Cells" that says:
Some of the data-linked cells have been ovrewritten. What do you want to do?

And two choices:

--> Update the content of these cells

--> Retain the Overwritten content

Whatever i choose, the format is all changed (to be polite) even if the "Cell locking" is set to "Format Locked"...

Can someone help me on this one ???

I have hundreds of drawings with EXCEL linked tables and there is no way i want to change the format of all those tables...

I did put 3 images to be clearer:

Table before // dialog box // table after

Merci beaucoup / thank you very much !

Try changing the formatting options in the data link, i had similar problems going from 2010 to 2011. If that doesn't work, remake the link.

Hi Cadman1965,

I agree with Conormccartney3897, the link formatting options may be the issue. Please see the attached images. You may need to expand the Modify Link window to see these settings. I was not able to reproduce this, so if you need more help please post the drawing and Excel sheet.

Thanks 🙂
