Table Styles

we have tables as a standard in the office, each table is of the same table style on the same layer.

all properties for all table borders are set to Bylayer (G-ANNO-TEXT color70).

the issue is- in AutoCAD 2014 open a template dwg with the Layer G-ANNO-TEXT in the template place the table on the current layer it does not adopt the properties of any other layer until you go into tablestyles and modify the settings for all borders

is this normal or a bug?

I opened your 2010-format file in R2012, R2013 and R2014: it behaves the exact same way in all three. If you were using a much older version, something changed by the time 2012 came along.

Select your table after you move it to another layer: see the CYAN arrow in the bottom middle? Click it, drag it, and your lines then follow the new layer color.

is this a new feature or just another unknown (on my part)?

I don't move tables around different layers often (we like certain tables to be on certain layers all the time), so I only noticed it around AutoCAD 2011-2012 I believe. Feature or difficiency is for someone else to answer, I don't work for Autodesk.
