system variable for deleting or keeping extruded objects

What is the system variable for keeping or deleting original 2d profiles of extruded objects?  Also, does the variable apply to objects created using both EXTRUDE  and PRESSPULL?

thanks!

It does not work with PRESSPULL.

An explaination, rather than a solution:

PRESSPULL works differently than EXTRUDE, in that it doesn't actually extrude the defining geometry, rather it detects where REGIONS may be created by one or more objects.  It's this temporary REGION that is actually extruded.  Additionally, PRESSPULL also performs boolean Add/Subtract at the same time if applicable.

I understand where you're coming from though... if I PRESSPULL a circle/polyline/etc, I'd prefer if I didn't have to manually delete the original geometry.
