slow response when in "line" command

for the last two months, Autocad is very slow to respond to cursor movements ONLY when I am in the LINE command.  (other commands are normal)

Any suggestings?

I am using Autocad 2013 Mechanical, on a new very fast computer (i do not have any other problems with speed with other programs

Check your visual style, maybe your 3D drawings are set as shaded.

Had this before as well, and it killed performance without realizing about it.

I only use the 2D Wireframe style....

2015? Turn off LINESMOOTHING and/or turn off DYNMODE and see if that helps.

DYNMODE fixed my issue.

....strange that DYNMODE has always been set to '3', but haven't had a problem until lately.
