Panning works really good in the attached document. But when I select the hatch it slows panning down tooooo much.
Why?
It only happens when Hardware acceleration is enabled? I have the latest driver installed for Quadro 4000.
So you might say that the solution is to disable hardware acc? Its not.
It gets a bit better but then my regular panning (with nothing selected) sufers - poor quality.
What should I do?
Just tried 2 different latest drivers - no luck...
searched the forums and web - no luck
I know I recently played around with some of the performance system variables...
Specfically these ones: http://forums.autodesk.com/autodesk/attachments/autodesk/706/6178/1/NEW%20AutoCAD%20Performance%20Ti...
Tried undoing some but no luck... So i just changed the profile from Unnamed to 2015 one (see attached).. But no luck...
is there a way to reset the system variables to factory defaults? Or am i going down the wrong avenue...
Hi,

I can't see any difference if the hatch is selected or not, panning (middle-mouse) is as fast as expected. (Win7x64, AutoCAD 2015, nVidia Quadro K1000M)

Yes, had it on ... and it's fast with both settings, on and off.

Hi zzz144,
Can you right-click on the Desktop and let us know what NVIDIA Control Panel>Manage 3D Settings has selected for Preferred graphics processor? In the lower left corner there should also be a System Information link. Can you tell us the driver version number?
Also, if you have made a lot of setting/variable changes and would like to set everything back to factory defaults, go to Start>All Programs>Autodesk>AutoCAD 2015> Reset Settings to Default. You will have the option to create a zip file backup of any customization.
Thanks 🙂
Christina,
Thank you,
This helped me replicate and pinpoint the proble.
This happens with hardware acc ON when SELECTIONEFFECT is set to 0.
I like the selection effect but it slows things all the way down.
Solution:
Turn on the SELECTIONEFFECT system variable:
