Shortcut key to start right-click menu

Hi.  I use right-click when no command is active to repeat the previous command.  However, I would also like to be able to bring up the right-click (shortcut) menu when no command is active.  Is there a way to assign a shortcut key to bring up the right-click menu?  Maybe there's an internal command that could be tied to a function key or something?

Thanks,

Eric

If I understand you correctly, AutoCAD already offers an option for what you want.

Many keyboards also have a context menu key that you can use to activate the right-click menu, but that behavior in AutoCAD is tied to the setting above.

Have you tried enabling times sensitive right-clicking?  (see screencap above)  Best of both worlds, IMO.

I think you still have the best of both worlds the other way too since the first option on the right-click menu is to repeat the last command.  The good news is that it's very customizable to fit many different styles, so everyone (hopefully) can be happy.

Ah, yes.  Never tried that.  Thanks Nestly!

Thanks for the reply! I actually want both repeat last command and the shortcut menu. The time-sensitive right-click turns out to be the ticket.
