shear wall and slab meshing

hi,

I am a structural engineer and i am using sap2000 for my calculation also i am using autocad for drawings.

now i want to draw all my model in autocad 3d and export them to sap2000 but sap2000 only accept 3dface objects for shell elements.

I can't do that in autocad but i now auotcad can does this and more. but i could't.

hi agasulyu,

why you wont do the model by using 3d face command? if the SAP recognize on a 3D face only.

you ca also do the model using solid modeling (extrude) then export it into SAP... if wont work try to explode the solid model... it will turn the solid to 3D faces.
