Setnetworkcatalog message

I'm using Autocad 2013 and trying to open a drawing provided by another office. On trying to open the drawing I get an error that the drawing cannot be opened and the following:

Unable to access Shared Pipe Catalog folder.
 Please verify configuration.
 Run 'setNetworkCatalog' to reset.

Modeling Operation Error:

I could understand if I were running Civil 3d, but not under AutoCAD. Any suggestions on how to open this file without going back to the other office and having them re-create? Thanks!

Try opening the drawing using RECOVER.

I have object enabler installed and it makes no difference. Only option is to go back to original engineer and ask him to save file differently.

Ran recovery made no difference. Only option that I found to work was to go back to original engineer and get him to save file differently and send again.
