Sections in Projected View

When creating sections in projected views or on the base drawing, AutoCAD seems to randomly generate the hatching.  I want to make it so like shapes or materials have the same hatching in the same drawing.  Preferrably, materials would always hatch the same way.  Is there a way to assign hatching to materials in the materials library?  Im in autocad2013.

I think you are trying to mix apples and oranges.

 

Materials are commonly used with 3D objects while hatch patterns are commonly used with 2D objects.

 

If you create a section of a solid object you're creating a 2D object so AutoCAD, understandably, hatches it.

You can create multiple Section Styles and assign a different hatch there.  Make sure that style is active when sectioning.  The Materials Library will have nothing to do with this feature.

 

Ribbon>Layout>Styles and Standards>Section View Style
