To All,
Just ran into a situation with trying to "Resize the display or view of the Xref & Layer Dialog Boxes"
I'm now using AutoCAD 2015 and have migrated most of my setting so, for the most part I havent had to change much.
What I have noticed is the "Dialog boxes" do not have the same look, size as in AutoCAD2014....
I'm have not seen anything yet in the option settings on how to reset, or override the box settings.
It would be great to actually "see" the full path names without constantly scrolling over files.
As usual any help would be aprecieated.
Thanks,

Additionally, if you're unable to drag/resize the palettes, look into the LOCKUI system variable:
0 Toolbars and windows not locked
1 Docked toolbars locked
2 Docked or anchored windows locked
4 Floating toolbars locked
8 Floating windows locked
Just responding to the post & your information from my office location....
I have found the "PROBLEM"...
Looks as if Autodesk decided to remove the option to resize your Tool Pallets or Dialog Boxes, (refer to attachment or link).
How to Lock or Unlock the UI in AutoCAD 2015
I'm not sure what rocket scientist thought that was a good idea...
That being said "How do we fix the problem?"
Again, any suggestion would be appreciated.
Regards,
Enter LOCKUI at the command line and see my previous post for the options to unlock and lock.
The big picture global answer? I like to refer to a quote from @sboon
"The basic premise which you must keep in mind is that the interests of the shareholders supersede everything else."
- @sboon
To break that down further, they redesigned the GUI for 2015 pretty heavily. The status bar was severely changed and for whatever reason I guess they figured not many people used the LOCKUI icon so that removed it. I really have no clue other than to say selling new licenses is very important, and keeping the "look" fresh is important to that. I'll just leave it at that.....
I should probably put this quote on a T-shirt and sell them at Autodesk University....

I'd buy #1.
We'd probably all get kicked out and banned 🙂
Just kidding @autodesk !
rkmcswain & nrz13
Not sure why the solution box was pointed to my request for help... You two actually gave me the solution to fix my issue.
Anyway, I unmarked myself and listed your tips to solve this problem.
Hopfully this will get added back into a future version of AutoCAD.
Thanks again,
Milt Fitz
