Recent Documents Bitmap Background Color

Hi all, 

In the Recent Documents Menu where the bitmap images shown, some of the background colors are black others are white anyone know how to fix this?  See below.

That's what the files looked like when they were last saved.

I always have a black background where does the white background come from.

Is your layout background black too?
Maybe other people last saved the file?

No,  all of us have black backgrounds and we do 99.5% of our work in model space.  A few of us do 3D with AutoCAD but those drawings are few and far between.  All of our automation is built on modelspace, ie. settings, plotting, etc.

Well maybe 2015 has made some changes (on purpose or on accident) to the way it works. Dean was correct in that the thumbnail background should match the drawing background at the time of the thumbnail creation.

BTW: that is the 2015 startup screen, correct? Your signature says 2014.

Yes, it is 2015.  Thanks, I'll look over the article.  I think this background color thing has been going on for years.  I just though maybe someone had a quick answer.

Here everyone using 2013 or later gets a black background. All the 2011 users get a white background. Do you have any users with older versions?
