Quality of PDF Output with PDF Underlay is Used

Hi all, I've seen there's a similar post here, but unfortunately I couldn't find a good solution for me.

I have a trouble (AutoCAD LT 2014) when i plot to pdf a file with a PDF underlay inserted.

I use the dwg to pdf printer; I have also tried turning off transparency. Unfortunately the pdf quality isn't acceptable for me: it seems it gets rasterized, with horrible resolution.

I attach a dwg sample and a pdf plot sample.

Thanks.

What setting do you have for raster handling in that pc3 driver? Default is too low.

You are right, increasing the resolution gives better results. Unfortunately it's often necessary to reduce the resolution, because Autocad doesn't plot part of the drawing when the resolution is high and there are many graphic elements in the layout.

Anyway, I think that a vector graphic element (such as my PDF underlay) shouldn't be rasterized in the output.

You might get better performance with a purchased 3rd party pdf driver: the built in freebie "is what it is".
