Problems of purchasing AutoCAD Design Suite Premium 2013 VS 2014

Good Day.

I'm helping my organization to buy AutoCAD Design Suite Premium. I have ask for Quotation from vendors and the reply is that they can only provide the 2014 version (That means no 2013 version can buy from vendors).

As I search from Autodesk website, the AutoCAD Design Suite Premium 2014 requirement is a 64-bit systems (Windows). But my company is running 32-bit Win7 Professional.

My question is:

1. Can I buy the license of 2014 version and then downgrade to 2013 version?

2. If not, any ideas for the above situation?

Thanks for your help!

Some components of the Design Suite 2014 are available in 64-bit only - therefore the requirement.

You can buy Design Suite 2014 with Subscription which entitles you to download and install version 3 older versions of the software, incl. 2013. But rather consider upgrading your OS platform to 64-bit. You will be rewarded by much better performance of your CAD tools with access to more than 2GB of RAM.

Hi Vladimir,

Thank you very much for your reply.

(especailly the subscription can download and install 3 older versions)

For your suggestion of changing to 64bit system.

It's not possible because some of the software need to run in 32-bit windows only. (Although 64-bit windows can run 32-bit, but I tired, no success)

But I'll try to suggest to management for making decision.

Thanks again!
