We used Furix BetterWMF 2013 to copy our drawings from AutoCAD 2013 to Word 2007. Never had a problem till we upgraded to 2013 for both products. Now when we paste the drawing into Word (for our product manuals) any Ohm symbols turn into Question marks.
I'm assuming the problem is not AutoCAD, as it displays correcty there. Just wondering if anyone else uses this product or has any probems with Ohm symbols in general in AUtoCAD 2013.
Have you confirmed that the font you're using in Word includes the Ohm symbol as part of its character set?
Run Windows' Character Map, find a font that does have the symbol and see if it works using that font.
Yes, we use Arial in all our programs...it's the companies standard font. We've always used it adn never had a problem. I've just tried AutoCAD's WMFOUT command in 2013 version and that gives me a 'O'. I'll keep trying different fonts but it looks like a ACAD 2013 issue?
Can you upload a drawing file?
You can delete other objects except the text which has a problem.
I can't test the compatibility with Furix BetterWMF 2013.
But if WMFOUT command also has a issue, I can look over it.
I have attached a dwg with an Ohm symbols, Arial in Mtext.
Thanks very much
I just tested WMFOUT the text-open a new drawing-Import .wmf file in AutoCAD 2013.
And as like an attached image, mine works fine.
Would you test with a new user login?
If you have other work process, please let me know
Well our whole department has this issue, it's not just me. I'll have a play later or in the morning though.
Thanks for your help.
Could you try WMFOUT command on diagnostic mode?
