Point Cloud Display 2014/2015

I've provided a number of point clouds to a client.  The scan data is from a FARO X330 registered in Faro Scene, indexed in Recap, and exported to RCS files.  I'm using Autocad 2015 and the point clouds look fine for me in Recap, Autocad and Navisworks (see attached from Autocad).  My client is using Autocad Architecture 2014 and when he zooms in on the pointcloud it doesn't appear to refresh and fill in the detail.  Where we can identify the pt cables we are interested in well enough with my system they are not distinguishable on his.  We turned his sliders in the point cloud settings all the way up but that had no effect.  

Any suggestions?  

Is it likely that the difference in appearance is due to the difference in Autocad version or should we be looking at the hardware?

R2015 is more advanced than R2014 in point clouds I believe: the imporve by version.
