Pinned panel becomes unpinned when I switch tabs

Is there a way to keep a panel pinned when I switch tabs and go back to the tab with the pinned panel?

It seems to me this should at least be an option.

Hi Kim, there doesn't appear to be a way to keep a panel pinned when you switch between tabs. It will stay open for as long as you are on that tab but return to it's closed state once you leave that tab.
