OPEN not asking for Password

Just made a new 2015 dwg, password protected it, and it is not asking me for the password when I open it. Note - I did input password once when, as I recall, I closed this dwg but accessed it in Design Centre. Worked as I wanted. But now, never askes me, even in DC. Is there a way I can require this drawing to ask for the password, even if it has been previously inputed? I could not find anything online or in help.

Cheers, Shari

Well, maybe I just can't have what I want. That's okay.

I see that AutoCAD will ask me for the password if I totally shut down AutoCAD, then restart. This is not ideal, but I can deal with it if no option to force a password input (I see why it acts this way, would be a real pain with links/xrefs/digital signatures/DC etc etc).

Cheers,

Shari

If you need to be prompted for a password every time without closing AutoCAD first then you need to find a solution on your server or from a 3rd party application.
