open .easm file in autocad or civil 3d

Good day all,

I am attempting to opem . easm file in cad. Can any body help? I just tried eDrawing viewrs but not won, I do not have access to soloidork as well. any other free convertor ar any method to open it in Autocad?

.easm is similar to Autodesk's .dwf file, it is really for viewing and mark up, you'll need to get the originator of the file to export to .dwg.

You can check on the site eDrawings they have a free publisher and a free trial for publisher pro, not sure if even Solidworks can convert them

I've tried it. it just make me able to view the objects. but I am not able to export it to cad or measure objects.
Is there any alternative way to convert?

I believe this is orrect: like DWF, there is no content to 'convert' into AutoCAD entities.

You will need the original Solidworks source file for the conversion (prt, sldprt, asm or sldasm file types according to HELP in AutoCAD).
