I loaded AutoCAD 2013 onto my PC about a month ago - part of the premier design suite - and I am unable to add a New Group Filter. When I select the icon, the screen freezes (see screenshot) with all but 4 layers shaded grey. Escape releases the problem. If I select the settings tool, the program freezes (no greying). mouse moves but unable to select anything. Escape releases the fault.
I am able to create and edit Group Filters and access Layer Manager.
I have also found that the cursur is jerky and the screen slows but I think that may be due to the graphic-card and the problems may not be related.
Any suggestions: Reload?
I haven't tested the layer filter here but it seems like you have a logical error in your layer selection. You have selected "All used layers" and also most of the other layers but deselected a few layers. How could AutoCAD satisfy the "All used layers" and not choose the layers you have deselected?
Can you upload a sample file for testing?
Also, if you try to exclude "all used layers" or invert the selection, does AutoCAD still freeze?
