Match Properties on Hatch

When doing a match properties from one hatch to another, I end up with two hatches having identical properties (pattern, scale, etc) but that look completely different. See the attached image.

I tried the old snapbase trick and also tried various hatch origin settings, but without success.

Hi,

if you can upload the drawing we see the properties for these hatches to compare them. We can't compare them in your JPG :smileywink:

Hi,

I think your problem is to transfer the properties from the left to the right hatch, isn't it?

At least the left hatch has defects, you can see that by selecting the left hatch and change any property, e.g. try to set the hatch-scale to 0.002 and back to 0.003 (the previous value) ==> you'll recognize now this hatch looks quite more dense! Now it looks like it should have looked all the time.

The question now is: how have you created the left hatch (or what tool or application did it)?

I'm not sure of the entire history of the drawing Alfred, because I'm just trouble shooting it for someone else, but he told me that he simply hatched a new area, copy/pasted an existing hatch in from another drawing, and then used MATCHPROP to make his new hatch the same as the pasted one.

Someplace along the way I think he has introduced a problem, but isn't readily apparant what it is. Nevertheless, I'm not going to spend anymore time on it. Thanks again for taking a look.

What's the odd circular symbol attached to the one on the right?
