We are experiencing a problem saving on AutoCAD 2013.
All our files are saved on a local network file server. Teh drawings are not complex drawings, only basic 2D work, blocks and no more than 5 nested xrefs on extreme cases. May contain some images attached but all saved in the current job folder.
Some drawings may take up to 2 minutes to save.
Does anyone have a clue or experienced this situation?
Any support is greatly appreciated.
Still takes long.
Our support files search parh have some network paths. After I loaded standard AutoCAD profile the saving time reduced a lot. Interesting that this did not happen on previous releases.
We are having the same issues, does not matter the autocad based product, local or network (wihin seconds of each other). Wondering if it is due to norton antivirus, but we arn't allowed to turn it off. Huge time waster ofver just a day. Sorry I don't have a solution.

You don't need to disable it, just configure it to not scan the DWG- and DXF-files. And do that locally + on your server antivirus package.

Try one of the following or both :
1- Cancel any transperancy setting for the commnad line , leave it normal.
2- SAVEFIDELITY = 0 .
i'm sure you'll see different ( i hope ).
We found that when the Thumbnail Previews are updated with each SAVE, it can take up to 10 minutes.
So, we made lisps that set UPDATETHUMBNAIL to "0" and to "31".
We keep it set to "0".
When we want an updated Thumbnail, we execute "TN31" and save.
Then immediately "TN0" to set it back to "0" for quicker saves.
This may help in your case.
