long regens when switching from model to paper space

Just installed 2014 and the time it takes to switch from model space to paper space in a simple drawing is 3 times what it took in 2011.

can anyone tell me how to speed this process up?

Is there stuff running in the background in Autocad that makes it slower?

Had this same issue when we looked at 2013 as well.

Hello

It always take time to switch for the 1st time from Tab / Model to any other Tab / Layout !

Because ACAD has to buid the display list of this Tab / Model / Layout ...

But this is controlled by the System Var : LAYOUTREGENCTL

Default and Normal Value = 2

But even with 2, you could have to wait when you have just load a DWG

and you switch for the 1st time to any other Tab !!

Hi,

just to make sure a few questions:

  - have you migrated your settings?

  - have you verified that the page-setup and the CTB/STB-files for each layout is valid for 2014?
