Okay so is there anyway to enter the whole equation of an ellipse into autocad and it will map it? ex x^2/a^2+y^2/b^2+z^2/c^2=1 with different values for x y z a b c. I want to generate different ellipses and then loft them togather? Is there an eaiser way? Also is there a good tutrial series any would recommend? I just want one the starts with the basics and goes all the way to the move advance stuff.
Do you know the major and minor axis lengths?
Can't you use the Ellipse command?
The length in the x direction needs to be 20 the length in the y direction needs to be 10 for instance. Also i need a length in the z direction to be 30. So i guess i need to stretch it in the x direction. The thing about the ellipse command is i have no control on the lenght in the x direction- i guessing the width.
An ellipse is a planar object.
You should have complete and absolute control.
