lisp to get Elevation label at the polyline starting and ending edge

I want lisp to get at the beginning and end of each polyline of the Elevation Label

That would not be difficult, and there is likely something out there, if you do a Search [here is something similar I did not long ago].  One question:  What determines the rotation angle of the Text elements, and where it switches from one to another?
