LISP application on autocad for mac

Hi,

The attached application is used to create text in a special way. It works perfectly fine on windows, but not on mac. In autocad 2011 the app loads fine but as soon as you try to use autocad crashes. The latest version of autocad shows similar behavior.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-C

I don't have a fix for that LISP, but if you look on the Exchange Apps, you can find a Text to Geometry, which will convert a Truetype text string tobasic geometry -- more flexibility in the appearance of the characters since you can use most TTF fonts

Exchange App may not work on AutoCAD for MAC (OP is using it apparently): inquire with the author if the product description doesn't clearly state it.

Good catch dean,  Text2Geom is a dotNet tool,

Yea, I didn't see any obvious reason why that lisp code wouldn't work, unless there is some limit to the amount of lisp that can be loaded on the Mac.

Does the Mac version include WMFOUT and WMFIN? Probably not, but if so, you could use these commands to "explode" text.

I don't understand either why the lisp script wouldn't work. I'll probably have to study more how to write this apps if I want to fix it. The WMFOUT and WMFIN commands don't exist in the Mac version. Cheers, -C
