Hi
Thank you
How do you make a single line with varying thickness.I tried the one which worked for the rectangle but this did not work for a single line
Thanks
Command: pl PLINE
Specify start point:
Current line-width is 0.0000
Specify next point or [Arc/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]: w
Specify starting width <0.0000>: .1
Specify ending width <0.1000>:
Specify next point or [Arc/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]:
Specify next point or [Arc/Close/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]:
By following the previous text command you'll do it.
if it's done i'll apprecaite your Kudo press icon 🙂
[I would just point out that what you're talking about is actually Width, as in the name of the Pline option that gets it for you. "Thickness" is a different characteristic that many objects in AutoCAD (including Polylines) can have. It refers to thickness in the Z direction, i.e. their up-off-the-page dimension, which by default will be zero, but which you can make non-zero in the object's Properties or with the THICKNESS System Variable. Viewing things from other than straight above (using, for example, VPOINT or DVIEW) will show you the effect of non-zero Thickness.]
