Large file size

I am using version 2013 and I have been having problems with large drawings sizes but lately I have had to convert an 11MB drawing to an .igs file. The .iges becomes an 175MB file. I converted a simular sized file back in August of 2014 and the .igs file was only 23MB. can anyone help me with this problem?

DWG file size really has nothing to do with the final IGES file size: content and types of entities in the DWG file is what will bulk up the IGES file size.

175MB iges files are not unusual.

Does 11 MB seem too large for what is in the DWG?
