Installing SP1 appears to have fixed the problem.

we are still having problems with this even with SP1 installed

type Z and hit return quickly and we get unknown command, similar problem with L

If the users pause for a second before hitting return the list of command options for that letter appears but there is a definate lag

Maybe a bad LISP reactor routine. If the problem occurs for everyone in your firm then I would say the best thing to do is start with a generic install and build up your config manually and test at each step.

I have the exact same issue, a very noticeable lag when inputting commands when the Command Line is visible.  If I turn the command line off (Ctrl-9) there is a huge improvement in perfomance.  I have tried running with the text window (F2) open on a secondary monitor, but it doesnt stay on top of all windows all the time.  Having the text window open does not affect performance.

Has anyone come up with a solution since the last post?

I have been struggling with this issue since installing 2014.  I feel this issue is exclusive to 2014, but I am hesitant to call it a "feature".  The delay is enough to mess up a command and to an efficient user of CADD this is a problem.  Hotkeys are rendered somewhat useless and I am forced to slow down my typing in order to execute the correct command.  I have installed all hotfixes and service packs as well and none have resolved this issue.

I have discovered that this issue is best resolved with turning the "Dynamic Input (F12)" off.  I am glad that I finally have this issue fixed as it was driving me nuts since install.
