I am having a hard time entering my keyboard shortcuts. Even L+enter would take me to Layfrz !, AA, LA are not recognized and so on. I tried resetting ACAD.CUIX but my partial customization files are turned to unresolved. When I reload the CUSTOM.CUIX (which works on screen)and try reloading the ACAD.CUIX, it just gives the following error and turns back my Partial customization -Custom (unresolved):

Hi,
>> When I reload the CUSTOM.CUIX
How did you reload this menu? With command _MENU or command _MENULOAD/_CUILOAD?
And where is it saved (the CUSTOM.CUIX), I'm wondering that you can "reload the CUSTOM.CUIX", but it's not found then.
If all fails make first a backup of your customizations and reset then the AutoCAD profile (from Windows start menu ==> Autodesk ==> AutoCAD ... ==> reset settings to default).

Alfred-
I loaded these through CUI command that opens a window where you can select acad.cuix or custom.cuix. I went in here to customize my keyboard shortcuts but everything was haywire. This problem, however, happened after a recent reinstall. I followed your advice and reset things to default (since nothing was working right anyway), and it worked.
Thanks. I just wish I had known how to fix things without resetting.
Hi Annie,
I'm glad things are up and running again. Since this happened after a reinstall it's possible the uninstall/reinstall process was not a full one. For example, if AutoCAD was uninstalled from Programs and Features, buit the folders and registry keys that are leftover were not removed. I would also suggest making a backup copy of the custom.cuix, in a separate location (network folder, or I email a copy to myself).
What is custom.cuix?
Which information does it store? i couldn't understand from the CUI and didn't find in help (i didn't search thoroughly)
