Is this a glitch or... Automatic Infinite lines and object extrusions

Hey guys, i just started using autocad and i've encoutered a rather annoying problem that i cant seem to get rid of.. everytime i make a simple line, it extends vertically to infinity automatically and i don't know why! same thing with circles... is this like an option i can tick off or a super annoying bug?

Ill post some pics, hope it helps..

Did you perhaps change the default THICKNESS?  Type THICKNESS at the command line and make sure it's zero (0)

(Note changing thickness wont change objects that were already created,  you'll have to use the Properties Palette to remove undesireable thickness)

Yep, apparently it had a tickness of 100000000000000000000000, don't ask how. Thanks so much!
