Install driving me loopy

Hi all

Used to have Autocad LT 2004 on my computer but looking to upgrade to inventor HOWEVER every time I go to install it the install fails stating

Installtion complete some products failed to install.

I have attached the error log for Autodesk Inventor 2015 but it means nothing to me?

I have turned off my windows firewall as well as my UAC and anti virus. Im running the programme as a user but with administrative capabilities. Im connected to the internet via an ethernet cable

My previous version of Aautocad LT 2004 have now been removed

What am I missing? Can someone help me i would be very grateful

LT 2004, running with XP?

Maybe 2015 Inventor doesn't like XP.

Hi. Giving me a link to a forum thread dosn't help me. I've been through these threads probably 100 x and i seem to be going round in circles

I did not post a link to any threads - those are Autodesk Forums.

The Autodesk Forum for Installation Problems.

The Autodesk Forum for the Autodesk product - Inventor.

Why are you posting a question about Inventor in the AutoCAD forum?

What is the size of your download 1 and 2 install files?

OK I will try there too. There are no download files as it fails before anything is even installed

Ah, so the problem isn't with installing, haven't even gotten that far.

I aways use the Browser Download method rather than whatever autodownload Autodesk wants me to use.

Same here.  In my case, I want to drop the installer on our network so:

  • I don't have to download it multiple times

  • its covered by the system backup in case of catastrophic failure

  • I can keep all relevant information in a common location

Did using the Browser Download method work for you?
