Importing Shapefiles (.Shx) Into AutoCad LT 2013 Help!

My question is can you import Shapefiles (.Shx) into AutoCAD Lt 2013. If so how?

I have tried a few times and was unsuccessful.

If I can get some help on if AutoCAD LT 2013 supports this feature that would be great. Because if it doesn't my boss want me to get a price on the version the supports these features. If you could inform me on which version that is as well? That would be great. That is, if my current version doesn't perform that feature.

Thanks for those who help!

The SHX file extension is used for several different file types.  It is used for shape files (typically used to support symbols in line types), AutoCAD text styles (e.g. Romans.shx), and mapping information.

For the first two, locating the file in the search path is sufficient for them to be used.

For the last, mapping information, you need more advanced software.  There may be third-party plug-ins for full AutoCAD (but not LT), while Map3D and Civil3D both support them OOTB.
